45Drives has announced the first wave of featured speakers for the fourth annual Creator Summit, scheduled for October 20-22 at the Skyline Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. The event, which has become a premier gathering for enterprise technology leaders, creators, and the open-source community, will explore the future of private AI, data sovereignty, enterprise storage, automation, and AI-powered creative workflows.
The confirmed speakers include representatives from Unraid (Lime Technology), which recently announced a strategic partnership with 45HomeLab to bring purpose-built server platforms running Unraid OS to the self-hosting and homelab community. Also featured are leaders from JR Automation, a Hitachi Group company specializing in advanced manufacturing automation and robotics. Notable individual speakers include Wendell Wilson, founder of Level1Techs; Jeff Geerling, bestselling author and YouTube creator; and Tom Lawrence, founder of Lawrence Systems.
Dr. Doug Milburn, CEO of 45Drives, emphasized the collaborative spirit of the event, stating, "The technologies transforming AI, enterprise infrastructure, and digital creativity aren't being built in isolation. They're emerging from communities that believe in openness, collaboration, and sharing knowledge. Creator Summit exists to bring those communities together under one roof."
This year's summit will feature two dedicated tracks: the Enterprise Track, focusing on private AI infrastructure, high-performance storage, cybersecurity, virtualization, and data sovereignty; and the Creative Track, examining how AI is reshaping content creation, filmmaking, design, and production workflows. Attendees can participate in person or virtually via a global livestream.
The announcement marks the first of several waves of speakers, with additional keynote speakers, industry executives, and technical sessions to be revealed throughout the summer and early fall. Registration is open at 45drives.com/creator-summit.
The Creator Summit reflects a growing trend among organizations and individuals to build private AI infrastructure and embrace self-hosting, open-source software, and locally owned technology. By bringing together enterprise professionals and creators, the event aims to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration in an era where data sovereignty and open infrastructure are increasingly critical.
45Drives, known for designing and manufacturing open-source data storage and private AI solutions, also operates 45HomeLab, serving the self-hosting and technology enthusiast community. The company's emphasis on open technologies like Ceph, ZFS, Linux, and Kubernetes aligns with the summit's mission to promote freedom from vendor lock-in.
