A new research report from VerifyInvestor.com, powered by tZERO Group, Inc., indicates that accredited investors are actively seeking investment opportunities, with a significant and growing interest in tokenized securities. The Accredited Investor Outlook 2026, based on a survey of over 200 verified accredited investors conducted in April 2026, reveals that more than three-quarters of respondents (77%) plan to make an investment within the next six months, and nearly half anticipate investing within three months.
Real estate (66%) and private equity/venture capital (61%) top the list of preferred investment categories, but digital asset securities attracted interest from 27% of respondents, surpassing infrastructure, hedge funds, and energy-focused investments. This is notable given that only 11% of respondents described themselves as very familiar with tokenized securities. The report suggests that limited awareness, rather than lack of demand, is the primary barrier to broader adoption, with investors moving through stages of curiosity, education, and adoption.
When evaluating opportunities, investors prioritize expected returns (70%), but also place high importance on management quality (50.5%), downside protection (49%), and sponsor track record (48.5%). Liquidity potential ranked low at 18%, indicating a willingness to commit to longer-duration investments when fundamentals are strong.
