Dietmar Heinisser has resigned from his position as a member of the ANDRITZ AG Executive Board for personal reasons, effective September 21, 2026. In his role, he was responsible for the Environment & Energy business area and Group Manufacturing Management. The announcement was made via a press release distributed by NEWMEDIAWIRE.
Heinisser joined ANDRITZ in 1997 and has held various management positions across the group in Austria, Germany, and the United States during his nearly 30 years with the company. He played a significant role in developing and substantially growing ANDRITZ’s Paper Service business. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 2023.
Joachim Schonbeck, President and CEO of ANDRITZ, expressed regret over Heinisser’s departure. “I regret Dietmar’s departure and, on behalf of ANDRITZ, would like to thank him for his strong commitment and valuable contributions during his many years with the company and his time on the Executive Board. We respect his decision and wish him all the best for the future,” Schonbeck said. Until further notice, Schonbeck will assume the Executive Board responsibilities previously held by Heinisser.
The resignation comes at a time when ANDRITZ continues to focus on sustainable solutions and advanced digitalization. Heinisser’s oversight of the Environment & Energy business area is particularly relevant as the company drives growth in green technologies. His temporary replacement by the CEO may signal a period of consolidation, but ANDRITZ’s commitment to its strategic goals remains unchanged. ANDRITZ GROUP is an international technology group that provides advanced plants, equipment, services, and digital solutions for industries including pulp and paper, metals, hydropower, and environmental sectors. For stakeholders, Heinisser’s resignation may raise questions about leadership continuity in key areas, but the immediate assumption of duties by CEO Schonbeck aims to ensure stability. The company’s strong foundation and clear strategic direction are likely to mitigate any short-term impact. Investors and industry observers will watch closely for any further executive appointments.
