BTQ Technologies Brings MIMIQ Quantum Emulator to qBraid's 35,000 Developers

BTQ Technologies Corp., a quantum technology company focused on accelerating the transition from classical networks to the quantum internet, announced that its MIMIQ™ large-scale quantum emulator is now available through qBraid’s managed application programming interface (API). The integration, developed by BTQ’s wholly owned subsidiary QPerfect, provides qBraid’s community of more than 35,000 developers with access to a tool that combines optimized state-vector emulation with Matrix Product State techniques.

MIMIQ™ is designed to simulate quantum circuits involving up to thousands of qubits and millions of gates, far beyond the capabilities of conventional state-vector simulators. This allows developers to validate algorithms, study noise effects, test error correction protocols, and explore circuits that would otherwise be impractical to simulate. The integration uses an open-source provider plugin built on QPerfect’s mimiqcircuits-python library, and developers can access MIMIQ™ through qBraid Runtime without setting up additional infrastructure.

The announcement matters because access to large-scale quantum emulation is a critical bottleneck for quantum software development. By removing infrastructure barriers, BTQ is effectively lowering the cost and complexity of experimenting with quantum algorithms, which could accelerate the development of practical quantum applications. As BTQ CEO Olivier Roussy Newton noted, the collaboration expands access to large-scale quantum emulation and supports the development of software infrastructure needed to move quantum computing toward practical applications.

The move also positions BTQ within a broader ecosystem of quantum developers. qBraid’s platform serves as a central hub for quantum computing resources, and integrating MIMIQ™ into its managed API exposes the emulator to a large and active developer base. This could drive adoption of BTQ’s technology and generate valuable feedback for further development. For the industry, it signals a trend toward cloud-based access to specialized quantum tools, which may help standardize how developers build and test quantum software.

BTQ Technologies is backed by a broad patent portfolio and deep technical expertise, and is developing a full-stack, neutral-atom quantum computing platform spanning hardware, middleware, and post-quantum security solutions for finance, telecommunications, logistics, life sciences, and defense. The company’s shares trade on NASDAQ and CBOE Canada under the ticker BTQ, and additional information is available through its BTQ (NASDAQ: BTQ) (CBOE CA: BTQ) profile. The full press release can be viewed at https://ibn.fm/ITzok, and the latest news and updates relating to BTQ are available in the company’s newsroom at https://ibn.fm/BTQ.

The companies will showcase the technology at Quantum Developer Day on Dec. 7, 2026, and at Q2B26 x Chicago Quantum Summit on Dec. 8-10, 2026, in Chicago. These events may provide further insight into how MIMIQ™ is being used and what it means for the future of quantum software development.
