The tool operates within e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Commerce7, requiring no additional workflows from wineries.
Compliance Vine Live verifies license validity, volume limits, age verification requirements, restricted locality restrictions, and tax calculations at the point of sale. Orders that meet all criteria proceed, while noncompliant orders are flagged or stopped before shipping. All decisions are recorded in a tamper-evident, audit-ready log.
Manual compliance can cost a winery over $170,000 annually and consume more than 40 staff hours per month. Federal penalties can exceed $26,000 per violation per day, and state fines have reached millions. Compliance Vine Live aims to prevent these costs by catching issues at the point of sale.
