Consolidated Credit Marks Hispanic Heritage Month with Bilingual Financial Education Push

Consolidated Credit is joining the national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 through October 15, by reaffirming its commitment to the Latino community and promoting access to Spanish-language financial education. The nonprofit credit counseling organization, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is using the occasion to highlight the cultural, social, and economic contributions of Hispanics to the United States while offering resources designed to help families build stronger financial futures.

At the center of the effort is CelebrandoLaHispanidad.com, a Spanish-language initiative that celebrates Hispanic pride and achievements while providing information on personal finance topics such as saving, the use of financial services, and financial education. The site also features profiles of prominent and influential Hispanic figures, aiming to inspire and inform. Consolidated Credit invites consumers and families to visit the site to learn more about Hispanic Heritage Month and explore content that honors the Hispanic experience in the United States.

“Celebrating Hispanic Heritage means recognizing not only our culture, our traditions, and the stories of those who have paved the way, but also looking toward the future,” said Gary Herman, president of Consolidated Credit. “We want Hispanic families to have access to the tools and knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions, achieve their goals, and continue strengthening their communities.”

For decades, Consolidated Credit has worked to make financial guidance more accessible to Spanish-speaking consumers. The organization offers resources in Spanish and has trained bilingual counselors who can help consumers understand their options and move toward their financial goals. Herman noted that the impact of financial education extends beyond the individual. “When we help a family better understand how to manage their money, handle debt, save, and plan for the future, that knowledge can also benefit future generations,” he said.

The initiative comes as the Hispanic population continues to grow in influence across the United States. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Hispanics represent nearly 19% of the nation’s population, making them the largest minority group. Their economic power is also expanding, with Hispanic buying power projected to exceed $2.6 trillion by 2025. Yet many Hispanic families face barriers to financial services and education, including language access. Consolidated Credit’s bilingual offerings aim to address those gaps.

“As we approach October 15, we want to make the most of these final days of Hispanic Heritage Month to celebrate everything our community contributes to the United States,” Herman concluded. “But our commitment to the Hispanic community does not end when Hispanic Heritage Month ends. Financial education, access to Spanish-language resources, and support for Latino families are part of our mission throughout the year.”

Since 1993, Consolidated Credit has helped millions of consumers address challenges related to debt, credit, and personal finances through credit counseling, financial education, and debt management programs.
