David Ebrahimzadeh, founder and president of Corniche Capital, has announced the launch of a national grant program for undergraduate students interested in real estate. The David Ebrahimzadeh Grant aims to support and recognize students who demonstrate a strong interest in the industry and who can offer original ideas about its future.
The grant is open to undergraduate students enrolled at accredited colleges and universities. Applicants must have an interest in pursuing a career in real estate or a related field. They are required to submit an original essay of 750 to 1,000 words that responds to a specific prompt. The prompt asks students to identify one innovation or emerging trend that they believe will have the greatest impact on the future of the real estate industry, and to explain how they hope to contribute to the industry's development through their careers.
The application deadline is April 15, 2027, and the recipient will be announced on May 15, 2027. The selected student will receive a one-time award of $1,000 to support their educational pursuits.
The initiative reflects Ebrahimzadeh's commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and education. He has built a career in private equity, industrial real estate, and technology innovation. As the leader of Corniche Capital, he oversees industrial real estate investments, development projects, and tenant relationships across a portfolio of more than 10 million square feet of industrial assets. His work also includes venture capital investing, intellectual property development, and technology commercialization.
Ebrahimzadeh has received three U.S. patents for innovations in automotive safety technology and is the author of The Patent Playbook: From Idea to Approval, a book that shares insights into the intellectual property process.
The grant is designed to encourage students to think critically about how technology, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, and sustainability are reshaping the real estate sector. It aims to support the next generation of professionals entering an industry that is increasingly driven by innovation and change.
According to the announcement, the demand for forward-thinking professionals continues to grow as industries evolve. The grant seeks to promote leadership among students who are preparing to enter this dynamic field.
