Tucson-based roofing contractor Desert Sky Roofing has officially rebranded as DSR Roofing, a change that reflects the company's evolution while preserving the core values and service standards it has built over years of serving Southern Arizona homeowners. According to a press release issued June 13, 2026, the company, which has completed more than 2,500 roofs in the region, is now operating under the shorter name DSR Roofing.
Owner Bill Kimbley, a U.S. Air Force veteran with over 20 years of service, stated that the name simplification is a natural step for the company. “We simplified the name to better reflect who we've become,” Kimbley said. “But the heart of it doesn't change. Tucson is home. These are our neighbors. A lot of the people we started out working for, we now call friends, and some of them feel like family.” Kimbley began the company with his son after serving two tours in Afghanistan, driven by a desire to protect homeowners from unethical contractors.
DSR Roofing's mission centers on providing “legendary roofing experiences,” a concept that goes beyond marketing to encompass every interaction from initial inspection to final walkthrough. The company's five core values—Results, Accountability, Integrity, Serving others, and Excellence—guide its operations. These values are rooted in Kimbley's military background and are designed to ensure that every homeowner receives honest, high-quality service. “Results means the crew owns the outcome and stands behind it. Accountability means when something needs fixing, DSR fixes it, no excuses. Integrity means doing what is right even when no one is watching,” the release notes.
The rebranding does not change the company's services or personnel. DSR Roofing continues to offer tile, shingle, and flat roof repair and replacement, as well as roof coatings, skylight work, emergency repairs, and honest roof inspections. The company holds a BBB A+ rating, along with certifications from Tamko Pro Gold, TRC Master Applicator, and the Tile Roofing Industry Alliance, plus Arizona ROC licensing. According to the release, more than 2,500 roofs have been completed across the region.
Kimbley emphasized that the most important aspect of the business is the relationships built with clients. “I can go home at night and lay my head down and know that I did the very best I could for those who put their trust in me,” he said. “It is my personal mission to make sure that my company is the company that leads the way in helping everyone—my clients, my team, and even my family, know what a true contractor should look like. Our name has changed, but our mission hasn't.”
DSR Roofing also maintains a commitment to community service, returning a share of profit to local nonprofits, donating a roof through Military Makeover with Montel, and offering discounts to veterans, senior citizens, and first responders. For more information, visit dsrroofcoatingtucson.com.
