Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell, an award-winning national spokesperson, multimedia marketing strategist, and bilingual disability advocate, was honored as one of the 2026 Women of Impact (Kingdom Woman) Award recipients at the annual Mood-Setter Social held in Groveland, Florida. The event, hosted by Pastor Jodie McCoy, founder of Mood-Setter Conference and Events and First Lady of Hope International Church, brought together women from Lake County and Central Florida for a day of brunch, fellowship, encouragement, fashion, and spiritual renewal.
The Mood-Setter Social, now in its annual iteration, is a community-centered celebration recognizing women who lead with compassion, positivity, purpose, and meaningful community impact. The 2026 event featured an inspirational guest speaker, Pastor Alexis Stephens Ministries, Inc., and a fashion show coordinated by in-demand fashion stylist Barbara Davis-Hudson. The gathering was designed as a space for women to step away from their busy schedules, caregiving responsibilities, and professional demands, offering refreshment and encouragement. Fellow honorees Doris Shazier of Shazier Coaching & Consulting, LLC and Dr. Calandria Smith of Landi-Lou Productions also supported the event.
Dr. Ramos Campbell expressed her gratitude for the recognition, stating, "I am honored and humbled to have been named one of the 2026 Women of Impact. To humbly be called a ‘Kingdom Woman’ feels like an invisible embrace and nudge to continue a life dedicated to purpose and service." She highlighted the challenges of raising a child with special needs while living with an illness herself, emphasizing that "pain and grief have a way of making everything feel isolated and alone. In those moments, love, support, and the true Godly example of ‘you are welcome here’ are vital. Struggles can be turned into victories."
Dr. Ramos Campbell credited her spiritual mentors, Dr. Tony and Jodie McCoy, for their influence. Hope International Church, under their leadership, has grown from a small gathering of five members in a home in 2004 to a vibrant campus in Groveland. Pastor Tony McCoy, a former NFL player and University of Florida Gator, chose to follow his calling to ministry rather than rest on his accomplishments. "Instead, he, Pastor Jodie, his children, and his mother did the exact opposite. They chose to care for others," Dr. Ramos Campbell noted. "The impact of that choice has positively shifted the lives of countless people around the world."
Dr. Ramos Campbell’s own work continues through Hope Torchlighters and services offered in the new Hope Wellness Center, expanding advocacy, inclusion, wellness, and family-centered support for special needs and neurodiverse families. Programs include Buddy Break Respite Care, Beacon of Hope Support Group, VIP Sunday, therapy-based family events, job training, life skills development, Special Olympics partnerships, bilingual parent education events, and VIP Mom and Dad gatherings. "This is the work. This is the mission. This is the legacy. This is the impact," she said.
Dr. Ramos Campbell was supported at the event by fellow VIP mothers, bilingual advocates, and community leaders, including Luzel Garcia, founder of The Dream Academy, a K-12 school serving students with various abilities; Tania Santos, entrepreneur and leader with WeSpeak: Parent Support Group of Lake County; and Barrie Martinez, advocate, speaker, and owner of Amber Treasures at Universal Studios Orlando.
The Mood-Setter Social and Hope International Church continue to serve the Lake County community, with Pastor Tony and Jodie McCoy leading a multicultural, multigenerational congregation. The church offers Hope Preparatory Academy, now enrolling K-12, and maintains an online presence at https://gohopechurch.com/ and https://gohopeacademy.org/.
