The Foundation for a Drug-Free World showcased its interactive Mobile Exhibit at the 31st Annual Glendale Cruise Night on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM along Brand Boulevard in Downtown Glendale. The event, one of Southern California's premier classic car gatherings, attracted over 45,000 attendees and featured hundreds of classic cars, live music, vendor booths, and family activities.
As part of the evening's festivities, the Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit provided visitors of all ages with free, fact-based educational materials aimed at preventing drug abuse and empowering youth to live drug-free lives. Visitors explored high-impact audio and visual displays and received free Truth About Drugs educational booklets covering substances such as alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, and synthetics.
"Reaching youth and families where they gather is vital to effective drug prevention," said Karla Bartholomew, Chapter President for Foundation for a Drug-Free World. "Cruise Night offers a wonderful community setting to share fact-based information that empowers individuals—especially young people—to make informed, healthy life choices."
Key highlights of the exhibit included interactive educational displays detailing the real-world physical and mental impacts of drug abuse, free materials for families and educators—including comprehensive informational booklets, DVDs, and curriculum packs available at no cost—and a pledge drive where 141 individuals, mainly children and teens, took the drug-free pledge.
The presence of the Mobile Exhibit at such a large community event underscores the importance of accessible drug prevention resources. By engaging families in a festive environment, the Foundation aims to reduce drug abuse rates and promote healthy lifestyles. The 141 pledges collected represent a direct impact on youth in the Glendale area, potentially influencing their long-term choices regarding substance use.
