Jim Valentine was born in Chicago in 1938. He served in the Army after graduating from Knox College in 1961 and spent his career in management roles at Union Special Machine Company before founding Valentine Enterprises in 1993. He sold his company in 2024 after 31 successful years. Valentine is a community leader who has served as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, president of the Chicago Knox College Club, president of the Knox College Alumni Association, founder and president of the Siwash Athletic Club, and recipient of the Knox College Service Award. His diverse experiences inform the authentic voice and practical wisdom found in Wabaningo.
