BREMEN, GERMANY – Energiekontor AG, a leading German project developer and operator of wind and solar parks, held its Annual General Meeting as an in-person event in Ritterhude near Bremen, where shareholders approved all proposed agenda items by a large majority. Approximately 60 percent of the registered share capital was represented. The Management Board also reported on operational performance in the current financial year, which is proceeding according to plan, discussed current challenges in core markets, and reaffirmed the current annual and medium-term targets.
The Annual General Meeting discharged the members of the Management Board and the Supervisory Board and approved the appointment of the auditor for the 2026 financial year. Remuneration for the Supervisory Board and the remuneration report for 2025 were also approved. Despite a challenging market environment, Energiekontor successfully closed the 2025 financial year at the upper end of its adjusted earnings forecast, with sales and earnings increasing year-on-year. The Management Board and Supervisory Board proposed using approximately 35 percent of the balance sheet profit for dividend distribution, resulting in a dividend of €1.00 per eligible share—double last year’s payout.
Operationally, the first quarter of 2026 has continued as planned. As reported in the qualitative interim report published on 13 May 2026, the company has 22 wind and solar park projects under construction with a combined capacity of around 650 megawatts, including nine projects exceeding 230 megawatts for the company’s proprietary portfolio. Additional financial closings are expected throughout the year, supporting the expansion and technological rejuvenation of its proprietary park portfolio. Energiekontor is also pursuing project sales and advancing its project pipeline in core markets, strengthening both pillars of its integrated business model.
Notably, Energiekontor recently concluded commercially attractive power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 17 German post-EEG wind parks with a total capacity of more than 100 megawatts for 2026 and 2027. The company is driving forward expansion and modernisation through new parks, repowering projects, and increased use of smart technologies in park operations.
CEO Peter Szabo highlighted the continued challenging regulatory and economic environment but emphasised robust operational performance. As regulatory and infrastructure requirements become clearer, Energiekontor expects improved visibility for project implementation. The project pipeline now exceeds twelve gigawatts, including US solar project rights, with an increased percentage of advanced projects having building permits or financial closings. For 2026, the company reaffirms its expectation of Group EBT in a range of €40 to €60 million and believes it has sufficient potential to achieve its 2023-2028 growth strategy objectives.
