Featured, the AI co-pilot for PR, announced that Featured Workflows are now available on every plan, including Free. Workflows are always-on PR automations that monitor journalist requests, HARO queries, podcasts, bylined article opportunities, speaking events, awards, media mentions, competitor coverage, and AI visibility on a user-defined schedule, then deliver matched results by email or Slack. The move follows the launch of Workflows on paid plans on July 14, 2026, and aims to make continuous media monitoring accessible to a broader audience.
Since Workflows went live on June 16, 2026, users have created 467 workflows, which have completed 26,239 runs and surfaced 93,012 matched opportunities, according to Featured's Workflows Usage Report. Notably, 93% of runs found at least one match, indicating the tool's effectiveness in identifying relevant opportunities. Setting up a workflow involves selecting a workflow type and filling in three fields: what to look for, when to receive it, and where to send results. Users can also create a workflow by typing a single sentence into Featured Chat, such as, “Send me HARO requests about small business finance every morning in Slack.” Workflows are configured in plain language rather than search syntax, with scheduling options ranging from hourly to custom cadence, and results delivered by email or Slack.
The platform offers 12 workflow types, including monitoring journalist requests from sources like HARO and Connectively, finding podcasts from a database of 814,000 active shows, and tracking AI visibility across platforms like ChatGPT and Claude. Unlike automated outreach tools, Featured Workflows stop at the opportunity: they monitor and notify users but do not automatically contact journalists or publishers, leaving a human to decide whether and how to respond.
Availability and pricing: Workflows are available on every plan, including Free. Free users can run workflows until they reach the day's usage allowance, after which workflows pause and resume when usage resets the next day. Paid plans offer higher usage allowances: Lite is $29 per month and Pro is $79 per month when billed annually. The expansion to the Free plan could significantly impact small businesses, solo founders, and non-profits that previously could not afford ongoing media monitoring. By democratizing access to PR automation, Featured may enable these groups to compete more effectively for media coverage and speaking opportunities, potentially leveling the playing field in PR. The focus on human oversight also addresses ethical concerns about automated outreach, ensuring that relationships with journalists remain personal and relevant.
