FingerMotion and Genius Group Form Joint Venture for 100 MW Alberta Data Center Program

FingerMotion Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR), together with Genius Group Limited (NYSE American: GNS) and BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc., has announced a second binding agreement to establish a joint venture for the Brooks Corridor Campus Program. The program covers up to 100 megawatts (MW) of powered land and colocation campuses in Alberta, Canada, marking a significant expansion of the partners' artificial intelligence infrastructure ambitions.

The agreement includes the first planned site, Brooks Campus No. 1, a permitted 9.9 MW facility located in the County of Newell. Powered land at the site is expected to become available in the first quarter of 2027. Under the joint venture structure, each campus will be owned 75% by FingerMotion (NASDAQ: FNGR) and 25% by Genius Group, with BlueFlare responsible for development, construction, and operations.

The new agreement follows the partners' October announcement of GENIUSpark Alberta and its initial AI compute site in Hanna. BlueFlare has also entered into a nonbinding expression of interest for up to 7 MW of high-performance computing colocation capacity at Brooks Campus No. 1. If fully operational under the contemplated arrangement, that capacity is estimated to generate $20 million to $25 million in annual revenue, potentially exceeding $100 million over an initial five-year term.

Closing of the first campus remains subject to client contracts, financing, due diligence, and regulatory approvals. The venture's success will depend on securing these elements, but the involvement of BlueFlare in development and operations may help navigate the complex permitting and construction landscape. For FingerMotion, a company traditionally focused on mobile payment and recharge platform solutions in China, this joint venture represents a strategic diversification into the AI infrastructure space, which could open new revenue streams and reduce reliance on its core Chinese market.

For Genius Group, the partnership aligns with its broader AI-focused initiatives, including GENIUSpark Alberta. The Brooks Corridor Campus Program could position the partners to capitalize on growing demand for data center capacity, particularly for AI and high-performance computing workloads. The potential $100 million in revenue over five years underscores the scale of opportunity if the project reaches full operational status.
