FingerMotion Signs MOU with Lyken.AI and BlueFlare to Develop AI Infrastructure Capacity Framework in Western Canada

FingerMotion Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR) has announced the signing of a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lyken AI Computing Inc. (Lyken.AI) and BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc. This agreement establishes a preferred, non-exclusive framework for matching enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) demand with potential modular behind-the-meter (BTM) capacity that may be evaluated or developed under FingerMotion's existing BlueFlare alliance.

Initially focused on the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, the framework positions FingerMotion as the owner-operator and project sponsor, BlueFlare as the Western Canadian development partner, and Lyken as the customer-facing demand and managed-services layer. This structure aims to streamline the development of AI infrastructure by aligning energy generation with computational needs.

According to the company, its relationship with BlueFlare has evolved from a single-project discussion into a multi-site development program. FingerMotion is already in discussions with multiple natural gas suppliers and midstream counterparties regarding potential firm supply arrangements for the planned BTM generation. These efforts are critical for ensuring reliable power sources for the proposed facilities.

However, the company cautions that no definitive gas supply agreement, capacity commitment, customer contract, project financing, or expected revenue has been established. Each project will be evaluated individually, subject to financing, site control, supply availability, customer commitments, regulatory approvals, and other conditions. This cautious approach underscores the complexity and time required to bring such infrastructure projects to fruition.

The MOU highlights the growing intersection of the AI and energy sectors, as the demand for computational power surges with the expansion of AI applications. By integrating behind-the-meter power generation with AI data centers, companies can potentially reduce transmission costs and increase energy efficiency, while also addressing the urgent need for new capacity to support HPC workloads.

FingerMotion, known for its mobile payment and recharge platform solutions in China, is diversifying into AI infrastructure, leveraging its technology expertise and strategic partnerships. The company's vision is to rapidly grow its user base and develop an ecosystem of engaged users, with the eventual goal of serving over 1 billion users in China and expanding to other markets. This new initiative with Lyken.AI and BlueFlare represents a significant step in its diversification strategy.

The announcement comes at a time when the demand for AI computing power is outpacing the development of necessary energy infrastructure. By focusing on modular BTM solutions, FingerMotion and its partners aim to provide a flexible and responsive approach to meeting this demand, particularly in regions with access to natural gas resources.

Investors and industry observers will be watching closely as FingerMotion progresses from this MOU to concrete project developments. The outcomes of the ongoing discussions with natural gas suppliers and the successful navigation of regulatory approvals will be key indicators of the program's viability. As the company moves forward, it will need to secure firm commitments from customers and financiers to transform this framework into operational reality.
