The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host five major fairs from August 13 to 17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. The events, including the 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, 12th Home Delights Expo, 4th Food Expo PRO, and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair, will operate under the theme “Live Well. Stay Well,” reflecting growing market interest in wellness and quality living.
For the first time, the two trade fairs (Food Expo PRO and Tea Fair) will feature exhibitors from all ASEAN member states, including debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste. New exhibitors from Colombia and Greece will also join, and the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, using Hong Kong as a gateway to global markets.
The fairs will feature 43 group pavilions, including the Korea Pavilion, which has expanded by 40% compared to last year, hosting more than 130 exhibitors to become the largest overseas pavilion. Other pavilions come from Brazil, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and various Chinese mainland provinces.
Food Expo PRO introduces a new “Meat Zone” to meet rising demand for premium meat products, with highlights including Korean frozen marinated barbecue and halal-certified beef tendon balls from a long-established Hong Kong brand. The popular “Coffee Zone” returns with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. A new “Food Science and Technology Zone” focuses on alternative foods and food-service technologies, featuring an intelligent food-service robot demonstration.
For the first time, Food Expo PRO will include pet food products, with a Hong Kong exhibitor using patented packaging technology to preserve nutritional value without preservatives or cold-chain logistics. The halal food label returns for the third year, with over 130 exhibitors from various markets, and a networking reception on August 14 will connect halal exhibitors and buyers.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase rare teas, including first-flush Kunlu Mountain purple bud pu'er from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions include the Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and the Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. A new “Tea Lifestyle” zone introduces innovative tea products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails.
The fairs will feature Five Themed Days: “Happy Eat Happy Life,” “The World in Blink,” “Coffee or Tea?,” “Stay Fresh, Stay Ahead,” and “Let’s Chill,” offering wellness forums, celebrity chef demonstrations, and horticultural therapy workshops.
The 36th Food Expo will highlight global gourmet delights, including desserts and gelato from around the world. A new Dessert and Gelato Theme features over 100 dessert products, with local exhibitors like AkkMore Gelato showcasing low-fat gelato made with patented mushroom extract. The Gourmet Zone celebrates its 15th edition with 15 celebrity chefs and a commemorative recipe book.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo introduces a new “Stay Relax” zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated wellness balms, and the Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, featuring the “Go Sleep Exp” and HKT's smart home discounts.
The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) will be held from August 13 to 15, expanded to three days with over 30 speakers from various countries. The conference will discuss clinical translation and regulatory policies under the theme “Clinical Translation, Regulatory Policies and Global Innovative Pathways of Traditional Medicine.”
To celebrate HKTDC's 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon with designated leaflets, “6”-themed offers, and lucky draws with prizes worth over HK$1 million. E-tickets are available through various platforms, and admission fees range from HK$10 to HK$40.
These fairs provide a one-stop platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences, reinforcing Hong Kong's role as an international food trading hub and gateway to the Chinese mainland and global markets.
