LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) (FSE: 3WK0) has announced the appointments of Marc Ducharme as Vice President of Exploration and Mike Petrina as Vice President of Mining Operations, according to a press release. These additions strengthen the company's technical and operational leadership as it advances the Swanson Gold Project and prepares for a near-term restart at its Beacon Gold Mill in Québec's Abitibi Gold Belt.
Marc Ducharme brings extensive experience in discovery and development, having previously led exploration at Probe Gold before its acquisition by Fresnillo for $770 million. Mike Petrina adds deep expertise in mine operations, having worked on advancing the Novador project. Their appointments enhance LaFleur Minerals' ability to execute its mine-to-mill strategy, accelerate exploration, and transition toward gold production.
The Swanson Gold Project is a district-scale asset spanning approximately 19,214 hectares (192 km²) in the Abitibi Gold Belt near Val-d'Or, Québec. It includes several prospects rich in gold and critical metals previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. The company has consolidated a large land package along a major structural break that hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits, as well as several other showings. The project is easily accessible by road, providing direct access to several nearby gold mills, which enhances its development potential.
LaFleur Minerals' recently refurbished Beacon Gold Mill is capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day. The mill is being considered for processing mineralized material from the Swanson Gold Project and for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects. The company recently released positive Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) results for the Swanson Gold Project and the planned restart of the Beacon Gold Mill (refer to press release dated March 3, 2026).
The appointments of Ducharme and Petrina are expected to accelerate the company's exploration efforts and operational readiness. With decades of combined experience in discovery, development, and mine operations, the new leadership positions LaFleur Minerals to advance its projects efficiently. The company's focus remains on delivering long-term value through the development of the Swanson Gold Project and the Beacon Gold Mill.
