MAX Power Mining Expands Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Permit Holdings to Approximately 2 Million Acres

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced a major expansion of its natural hydrogen permit holdings in Saskatchewan. The company acquired provincial permits covering an additional 660,263 acres (2,672 square kilometers) across south-central Saskatchewan, increasing its total permitted holdings by more than 50% to approximately 2 million acres across 12 projects.

The expansion includes the newly designated Aurora Project, a 628-square-kilometer area adjoining the company's existing Lawson project. This creates a contiguous 90-kilometer corridor that the company believes holds potential for multiple natural hydrogen discoveries and commercialization pathways. The corridor is strategically located near highway, rail, heavy industry, and emerging artificial intelligence infrastructure, which could facilitate future development.

In addition to the Aurora Project, MAX Power added the Ogema and Kyle projects, expanded the Grasslands Project through the Fox Valley target area, and secured additional permits at Lawson, Radville, and Tribune. The company is currently conducting commercial-validation drilling at Lawson Complex #1, which is recognized as Canada's first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system. Independent consultant GLJ Ltd. is working alongside MAX Power to review data from the newly permitted areas.

This expansion underscores the growing interest in natural hydrogen as a potential clean energy source. Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is generated through natural geological processes and could provide a low-carbon alternative to hydrogen produced from fossil fuels. By securing a dominant land position in Saskatchewan, MAX Power is positioning itself to explore for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen.

MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on the shift to decarbonization. The company's Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada's first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs. The company has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres of permits covering prime exploration ground.

In addition to its natural hydrogen projects, MAX Power holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These properties are highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, which is 100%-owned by MAX Power's U.S. subsidiary. The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.

The expansion of MAX Power's permit holdings could have significant implications for the natural hydrogen industry and the broader energy sector. If successful, the exploration could lead to new sources of clean hydrogen, contributing to efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The strategic location of the projects near existing infrastructure may also lower development costs and accelerate commercialization.
