Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will officially open its doors at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Lemon Creek Ranch development, providing a new shopping destination for women in the Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne communities. The boutique, owned by Kelli Hull, aims to address a gap she identified as a frustrated shopper: the lack of nearby options for contemporary designer clothing without a lengthy commute into San Antonio.

"I kept hearing from other women that they had the same frustrations I did," Hull said. "On Thursday, that changes. We can't wait to open the doors and finally show everyone what we've built."

The grand opening festivities will begin with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by the store opening to the public at 10 a.m. Shoppers will be among the first to explore the roughly 1,200-square-foot boutique, which carries a curated mix of national designer brands including Paige denim, FRAME, Milly, Shoshanna, Marie Oliver, and Aviator Nation. Hull selected these brands during buying trips to New York City showrooms. The first 100 purchases on opening day will receive a special gift, and throughout the weekend (Thursday through Saturday), guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from "Kelli's Favorite Things," featuring local partners like Heights Wellness, Golden Salon, Rooted Strength Fitness, and Glossy Nail Bar.

The timing of the opening coincides with the back-to-school season. Hull noted that younger shoppers have been particularly excited about Aviator Nation, a Malibu, California-based label known for brightly colored sweats and swimwear. Looking ahead, the boutique is already planning for the 2027 season, with plans to introduce new brands in January, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and the New Braunfels-based label Sunshine Tienda.

"If you want to wear a basic top, a pair of denim and sneakers during the day, but then you have an event in the evening and you need to put on a cocktail dress, we're your one-stop shop to do all of that," Hull said.

Several trunk shows are planned for the grand opening weekend, offering exclusive access to expanded collections. More details and schedules will be announced.

For Hull, the boutique represents more than a retail space; it is a commitment to service and experience. "People are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service, not only in retail but in industries at large," she said. "We want every single person who comes in to feel a very elevated, experiential shopping experience." That experience includes offering wine, personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments for busy customers. Hull also made a promise: "It is my solemn vow that I'll never let anyone leave Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch in something that doesn't look phenomenal on them."

The boutique is one of the few veteran-owned and operated Monkee's locations in the country. "Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do for years to come," Hull said.

The Lemon Creek Ranch development, located near Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne, was chosen for its long-term potential and convenience, with easy access off I-10 and parking right in front. Hull believes the area will continue to grow. "You can drive right up to the store, park and walk in," she said. "Lemon Creek Ranch is great where it's at now, but it's only going to continue to get better."
