Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) has announced that heavy metal contaminant assays from the Upper Phosphatic Zone at its Murdock Mountain project in Nevada remain well below the maximum limits cited for organic fertilizer certification. The results are from drill hole MM26-10, a step-out hole located 1.5 kilometres along strike from previous drilling, which had earlier returned 10.89% P2O5 over 3.60 metres. Individual samples from this interval showed concentrations of arsenic, cadmium, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals below the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials (AAPFCO) SUIP #25 thresholds for fertilizer containing 10% P2O5.

The company stated that these results continue to demonstrate predictable, low heavy metal content in the Upper Phosphatic Zone and support its objective of positioning the project for the organic fertilizer market. This is significant because organic fertilizers must meet strict contaminant limits to be certified, and the ability to demonstrate low heavy metals is crucial for market access.

Nevada Organic Phosphate is a British Columbia-based exploration company focused on an organic sedimentary phosphate deposit in northeast Nevada. The deposit is reported to be 6.6 kilometres long, with additional applications extending the potential strike to over 30 kilometres. The company believes this is the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America. The site is located close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near a rail head to California, providing logistical advantages for future development.
