Oldenburgische Landesbank AG (OLB) has completed the appointments to its Management Board, effective October 1, 2026. The Supervisory Board, in coordination with supervisory authorities, made the appointments that had been previously announced, reconstituting the board with a mix of internal promotions and experienced external hires. The move is significant for the German banking sector, as OLB, a universal bank with over 150 years of history and more than EUR 30 billion in total assets, continues to integrate into the cooperative Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale group following its acquisition by TARGO Deutschland GmbH in January 2026.
Michael Fust has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Dr. Rainer Polster, who left the bank upon the expiry of his mandate on September 30, 2026. Fust, who was appointed General Representative of OLB in January 2026 and reported to Dr. Polster, brings extensive financial expertise. He spent around 16 years with the audit firm KPMG before joining TARGO Deutschland GmbH as Head of Finance in July 2016. His deep understanding of the bank's financial operations is expected to ensure continuity and stability in financial management.
Annett Daldrup takes over as Chief Risk Officer. She had been acting as a General Representative of OLB since July 2026, reporting to Chris Eggert, and simultaneously served as a General Representative of TARGO Deutschland GmbH since March 2026. Daldrup joined TARGOBANK as Chief Credit Officer Corporate Lending in January 2025, assuming responsibility for credit risk management in the corporate banking business. Prior to that, she held positions at Airbus Bank GmbH and UniCredit Bank AG. Her appointment underscores OLB's focus on robust risk management as it expands its corporate lending activities.
Chris Eggert, previously Chief Risk Officer, has assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer. He is responsible for cash flow-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, which includes Corporates, Acquisition Finance, Football Finance, Fund Finance, Export Finance, and Financing Solutions. Eggert, who was appointed Chief Risk Officer in June 2022 and had headed Credit Risk Management since 2018, is a seasoned expert well known to clients and familiar with the market. His leadership is expected to drive the expansion of the Corporates & Diversified Lending business, a key strategic area for OLB.
The Management Board now consists of Christophe Jehan (Chief Executive Officer), Annett Daldrup (Chief Risk Officer), Chris Eggert (Chief Investment Officer), Michael Fust (Chief Financial Officer), and Dr. Andreas Houben (Chief Sales Officer). Christian Bessenroth, who has served as a General Representative since April 2026, completes the Management Team and is responsible within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment for asset-based financing activities, including Commercial Real Estate, International Diversified Lending, Shipping, and Renewables. He reports to Chris Eggert. Bessenroth joined OLB in October 2021 as Head of Corporate Real Estate & International Diversified Lending and previously worked for BAWAG Group.
“With its proven leadership and complementary areas of expertise, OLB’s Management Team is ideally positioned to lead the Bank into its next phase of development,” says Isabelle Chevelard, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of OLB.
OLB serves about one million customers through its OLB and Bankhaus Neelmeyer brands, operating in two strategic business areas: Private & Business Customers and Corporates & Diversified Lending. With a network of 80 branches nationwide and around 1,700 employees, the bank is a significant financial institution directly supervised by the European Central Bank. As part of the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, one of Europe's largest and financially strongest banking groups, OLB is well-positioned for future growth.
