One World Products, Inc. (OTCQB: OWPC), an advanced sustainable materials company, and Los Gatos Tomato Products, a leading California tomato processor, have announced their intention to enter into a strategic collaboration to expand the AgriBlend agricultural biomaterials platform. The proposed joint venture aims to develop next-generation engineered materials using renewable agricultural feedstocks, targeting commercial markets including automotive, infrastructure, agriculture, packaging, logistics, industrial, and consumer sectors.
The companies have agreed in principle to combine Los Gatos Tomato Products' agricultural expertise, renewable feedstock resources, and processing capabilities with One World Products' advanced materials engineering, compounding, manufacturing, and commercialization capabilities. This collaboration represents a significant step in One World Products' long-term strategy of transforming recycled and renewable resources into high-performance engineered materials.
AgriBlend, the company's agricultural biomaterials platform, currently encompasses work with tomato pomace, almond byproducts, rice hulls, corn fiber, soy fiber, jute, and agricultural cellulose feedstocks. The collaboration with Los Gatos Tomato Products broadens this platform by adding tomato pomace and almond byproducts, with plans to evaluate additional renewable agricultural feedstocks as the platform expands.
One World Products Chairman and CEO Isiah Thomas emphasized the company's vision: "Our objective is to build a platform company that transforms recycled and renewable resources into high-performance engineered solutions for the world's largest industries." Thomas noted that the company has demonstrated the performance of renewable feedstocks in demanding commercial applications, starting with hemp-based biocomposites and expanding through its EcoBlend platform. "Our intended collaboration with Los Gatos Tomatoes significantly expands AgriBlend by adding new renewable feedstocks and strengthening our ability to develop innovative material solutions for customers across multiple industries," he added.
Dan Green, President and CEO of Los Gatos Tomato Products, highlighted the partnership's potential: "This proposed collaboration enables us to create additional value from tomato pomace and agricultural resources while partnering with an organization that shares our commitment to sustainability, advanced materials, and long-term commercial growth. Together, we believe we can develop innovative products that benefit agriculture, industry, and the environment."
The collaboration could have significant implications for industries seeking sustainable material alternatives. By converting agricultural byproducts like tomato pomace—typically a waste product from tomato processing—and almond byproducts into engineered materials, the partnership addresses both waste reduction and the growing demand for circular economy solutions. The automotive and packaging industries, which are under pressure to reduce carbon footprints, may benefit from these bio-based compounds. Additionally, the use of renewable feedstocks could reduce dependence on petroleum-based plastics, aligning with global sustainability goals.
One World Products' portfolio also includes EcoBlend, an engineered polymer platform, advanced polypropylene compounds, natural fiber composite technologies, recycled rubber material technologies, cellulose-based material technologies, and circular economy material solutions. The company previously commercialized hemp-based biocomposite materials and developed advanced engineered compounds for automotive and industrial applications.
Beyond product development, the companies intend to collaborate on research, manufacturing, commercialization, and future technology development. Additional information regarding the proposed joint venture and related commercial initiatives will be announced following completion of definitive agreements.
One World Products, which will operate under the new name Isiah Enterprises, Inc. upon FINRA approval, is building a platform company for advanced sustainable materials. Los Gatos Tomato Products, located in California's productive tomato-growing region, is recognized for its commitment to agricultural innovation and sustainability.
