Music lovers from across North Texas are invited to experience three days of free live entertainment during the annual Paluxy Music Fest, taking place Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24, throughout Glen Rose, Texas. The city-wide music festival will feature performances at venues including Historic Square, Snyder's Tavern Lawn Stage, Texas Amphitheater, Sexton Feed Mill, Glen Rose Brewing Company, and H&H Supply Company.
Festivalgoers can enjoy country, Americana, jazz, blues, gospel, and acoustic music while exploring Glen Rose's restaurants, attractions, lodging, shopping, and entertainment venues. Friday and Saturday will feature a lineup of country and Americana artists, while Sunday's programming will transition into a relaxed jazz and blues atmosphere throughout the city.
In addition to live music, festival attendees can visit vendor booths on the Historic Downtown Square on Saturday and Sunday, featuring shopping, local businesses, artisan goods, community organizations, and more. "All concerts are free to attend, making this a perfect Memorial Day weekend destination for families, visitors, and live music fans," festival organizers said. "We're excited to celebrate local talent, support our local businesses, and bring the community together through music."
Festival schedule highlights include Friday's performances by Hard Nights Day and Le Freak at Historic Square at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively. Saturday offers country acts including Trinity River Ramblers at Snyder's Tavern Lawn at 3:30 p.m., Caleb Sam Brown at H&H Supply Company at 6 p.m., Jesse Jennings at Snyder's Tavern Lawn at 7 p.m., Jamie Richards at Texas Amphitheater at 7 p.m., and Kevin Fowler at Texas Amphitheater at 9 p.m. Sunday's Jazz & Blues Day features a morning lineup at Historic Square starting at 11 a.m. with the School of Music at University of North Texas, Ben B & Anthony S, A/C Project, and The Meadow St. Two, followed by Gospel Hour at Sexton Feed Mill at 11:30 a.m., Bud & Sharon Galloway at Glen Rose Brewing Company at 1 p.m., Open Mic at Sexton Feed Mill at 3 p.m., and Kevin Vaughn at Historic Square at 4:30 p.m.
All festival concerts are free to attend, with free parking throughout the downtown Glen Rose area. Parking at the Texas Amphitheater is available for $10 during concert performances. Shuttle transportation will also be available during portions of the festival weekend to help attendees travel between venues. Festival attendees are encouraged to arrive early, bring lawn chairs, explore local restaurants and shops, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of Glen Rose throughout the weekend.
