The PNE Group announced its success in the latest renewable energy tender in France, securing the development of the "Oinville-Saint-Liphard" wind farm. The project, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, will consist of four wind turbines with a total capacity of 22 megawatts (MW). This achievement comes from a highly competitive tender round under the PPE2 programme, where PNE France was among eleven winning developers selected from 144 bids representing an aggregate capacity of 2.38 GW. Only 39 projects, totaling 808 MW, were awarded, underscoring the significance of PNE Group's win.
Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "We are very pleased that we were able to prevail in a highly competitive tender. This once again demonstrates the excellent work being done by our French team on the ground. Following the sale of the 'Romescamps' wind farm, this is the next success for us within just a few days in one of our most important core markets and once again confirms our strategy." This announcement follows closely on the heels of the sale of the Romescamps wind farm, highlighting PNE's momentum in the French market.
The tender process had experienced a nearly one-year pause after July 2025, during which PNE France secured the "Chery" and "Romescamps" projects. The French government relaunched tenders in early April 2026, shortly after publishing the multiannual energy plan PPE3. The timing was favorable for PNE, as the Oinville-Saint-Liphard wind farm received approval in May 2026, just in time for the tender submission. Notably, the approval was granted in only 15 months, reflecting efficient regulatory processes.
The PNE Group, listed on the SDAX, brings over 30 years of experience as a project developer in onshore wind energy. The company focuses on developing wind and photovoltaic projects worldwide, as well as generating power from its own wind farms. Its services span the entire project lifecycle, from site investigation and permitting to financing, construction, operation, and repowering. As a Clean Energy Solutions Provider, PNE also offers battery storage solutions to enhance the efficiency of renewable energy use. This win reinforces France's role as a core market for PNE and demonstrates the company's ability to navigate competitive tender environments successfully.
