Powermax Minerals Launches 2026 Exploration Program at Cameron REE Project in British Columbia

Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF), a Canadian mineral exploration company, has announced the commencement of its 2026 exploration program at its 100%-owned Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) project, located in the Kamloops Mining Division of British Columbia. The three-week program is designed to build on encouraging results from previous exploration and to guide the company’s next phase of exploration, according to a press release.

The program integrates geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and targeted geophysical surveys to better define and prioritize exploration targets. It follows up on results from earlier stream sediment, soil, and rock geochemical surveys conducted during the company’s Phase 2 exploration program. Those previous surveys revealed consistent enrichment of both light and heavy rare earth elements across multiple lithological units, making the property a promising candidate for further development.

The 2026 field program will utilize road-supported access with limited supplementary helicopter support where necessary. Activities will include detailed geological mapping and prospecting, selective rock sampling, infill soil sampling, additional stream sediment sampling, ground radiometric sampling, and integration of datasets into a comprehensive model. This multi-faceted approach aims to refine the company’s understanding of the project’s mineral potential and identify high-priority drill targets.

Rare earth elements are critical components in modern technologies, including electric vehicles, wind turbines, and consumer electronics. With global demand for REEs rising, projects like Cameron could play a significant role in securing supply chains. The company’s focus on both light and heavy REEs is particularly notable, as heavy REEs are often scarcer and more valuable.

The Cameron project lies in a mining-friendly jurisdiction, benefiting from established infrastructure and regulatory frameworks. The exploration program is expected to provide valuable data that will inform future exploration and potential development decisions. Investors and industry observers will be watching closely as results from this program are released.
