COLOGNE, GERMANY — q.beyond AG has launched a new offering, "AI Act as a Service," designed to help companies evaluate their AI systems for compliance with the EU AI Act. The service provides managers with an auditable risk assessment, including documentation and verification, to place AI applications on a secure regulatory footing. This aims to accelerate AI deployment and enhance productivity and value creation.
The EU AI Act, the world's first legal framework for artificial intelligence, is already in force and gradually becomes binding. Key deadlines include August 2026 for most general requirements and December 2027 for high-risk AI systems. The regulation seeks to minimize risks to security, health, and fundamental rights while fostering innovation. Requirements depend on the potential risk of an AI application, not company size.
q.beyond's service addresses the challenge many companies face: understanding the regulatory risks of their AI systems. Companies typically deploy dozens of large language models and agents. The service is available online without prior integration. A free version allows basic assessment of EU AI Act requirements for one application, while monthly subscriptions cover multiple accounts.
"Companies can start directly with AI Act as a Service and promptly obtain an auditable risk assessment," said Dr. Daniel Taradzic, Chief AI Officer at q.beyond AG. "This enables companies to maximize productivity gains from AI while minimizing regulatory risks." The service targets CIOs, compliance managers, and CISOs.
During a trial phase, the service attracted customers like Antares Project GmbH. Managing Director Ingo List noted, "We had several thousand active AI users but no assessment of the EU AI Act requirements. Thanks to AI Act as a Service, we no longer have this problem."
q.beyond also advises on secure AI deployment and offers a "Private Enterprise AI" platform for processing sensitive data. The company develops AI agents for retail, manufacturing, logistics, banking, insurance, healthcare, energy, and public sector clients, operating them as managed services.
