SAF-HOLLAND Appoints Alexandre Charpiot as President EMEA, Succeeding Christoph Gunter

SAF-HOLLAND SE, a leading global supplier of trailer and truck components, announced the appointment of Alexandre Charpiot as the new President of the EMEA region, effective September 1, 2026. Charpiot, a long-time company executive, will succeed Christoph Gunter, who is leaving the SAF-HOLLAND Group to pursue a new leadership opportunity outside the company.

Christoph Gunter served as President EMEA and a member of the executive team for nearly seven years, overseeing the company’s largest regional business. His tenure included the successful integration of Haldex in the EMEA region and the development of growth opportunities in strategically important markets. Alexander Geis, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of SAF-HOLLAND SE, expressed gratitude for Gunter's contributions: "Christoph Gunter has successfully led and further developed the EMEA region in recent years. On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to him for his trust and cooperation, and I wish him all the best and continued success in his professional and personal future."

Alexandre Charpiot brings extensive experience to his new role, having joined SAF-HOLLAND in 2009 and held various leadership positions in both original equipment and aftermarket businesses. He has managed areas including logistics, purchasing, and product management. Since 2022, as Vice President Sales OEM EMEA, he led sales activities in the original equipment business, oversaw European subsidiaries, and played a key role in integrating Haldex, Tecma, and Assali Stefen. His long-standing collaboration with international customers and strong sales expertise position him well to continue the region’s successful development.

In his new capacity, Charpiot will align the EMEA region with the strategic goals of the drive2030 strategy, focusing on strengthening market position, optimizing operational performance, and pursuing additional growth opportunities across the product portfolio. This leadership change comes at a critical time as SAF-HOLLAND continues to integrate recent acquisitions and expand its footprint in key markets.

The implications of this appointment are significant for SAF-HOLLAND's EMEA operations, which represent the company's largest regional business. With Charpiot's deep experience in sales and integration, stakeholders can expect continued focus on operational efficiency and market expansion. The transition also highlights SAF-HOLLAND's commitment to internal talent development and strategic continuity.

SAF-HOLLAND SE is a leading international manufacturer of chassis-related assemblies and components for trailers, trucks, and buses, employing around 5,600 people worldwide and generating sales of approximately EUR 1.73 billion in 2025. The company's product range includes axle and suspension systems, fifth wheels, coupling systems, and brake and EBS systems. With brands such as SAF, Holland, Haldex, and others, the Group holds top-three market positions globally. More information is available at www.safholland.com.
