South Florida's Intracoastal Waterway will host two of the region's most celebrated holiday boat parades on consecutive evenings in December 2026, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the area's boating culture and seasonal festivities. Water View Vacations, an owner-managed waterfront vacation rental company in Pompano Beach, is highlighting the December 11–12 events and the availability of its privately managed accommodations.
On Friday, December 11, the 64th Annual Greater Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade will bring illuminated vessels, festive decorations, and music to the Intracoastal Waterway. Organized by the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, this year's celebration features the theme "A Party in the U.S.A.," recognizing America's 250th anniversary. The following evening, Saturday, December 12, the 55th Annual Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will take place in Fort Lauderdale, featuring decorated boats and yachts traveling approximately 12 miles from downtown Fort Lauderdale along the New River and Intracoastal Waterway toward Pompano Beach.
Together, these events offer visitors a chance to enjoy South Florida's boating culture, waterfront restaurants, beautiful beaches, and seasonal celebrations—all during one December weekend. For travelers considering a holiday getaway, Water View Vacations provides privately managed waterfront accommodations in Pompano Beach's desirable Harbor Village neighborhood. Among the options is Bella Acqua, a three-bedroom waterfront vacation home featuring a private heated saltwater pool, boat dock, and comfortable outdoor living areas. Another choice is Oltre Mare, which offers two bedrooms, a private heated saltwater pool, and convenient access to Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale attractions.
Both homes provide visitors a relaxing alternative to traditional hotel accommodations, with the privacy and convenience of an entire waterfront residence. The availability of such rentals during a peak event weekend could significantly enhance the visitor experience, allowing guests to enjoy the parades from the comfort of a private property and explore the region's attractions at their own pace.
Visitors should plan ahead for event viewing locations, parking, and potential bridge closures during parade festivities. Event schedules and routes are subject to change. The parades are expected to draw thousands of spectators, boosting local businesses and highlighting the importance of advance planning for accommodations.
