The Capital Grille Hawaiʻi Appoints Amarie Saunders as Restaurant/Wine & Beverage Manager

The Capital Grille Hawaiʻi has named Amarie Saunders as its new Restaurant/Wine & Beverage Manager, the restaurant announced. Saunders brings a passion for wine, thoughtful service and the connections made around the table to the Waikīkī location.

Saunders' appreciation for wine began on her family's small farm, where she learned to make wine alongside her grandfather using muscadine grapes grown in their vineyard. That early experience inspired a lasting interest in wine and a journey that led her to become a Level One Sommelier.

"My love for wine has remained rooted in tradition, connection, and the stories shared over a wonderful meal," said Saunders.

At The Capital Grille Hawaiʻi, Saunders looks forward to getting to know guests' favorite varietals, introducing new discoveries and helping them find selections that complement both their meal and the occasion. Her approach reflects the restaurant's commitment to making each visit feel personal, whether guests are celebrating a milestone, gathering with colleagues or enjoying an evening out in Waikīkī.

"I'm grateful to be part of this 'ohana and look forward to connecting, and reconnecting, with each of you," Saunders said.

The appointment comes as the holiday season approaches, and The Capital Grille Hawaiʻi encourages guests to reserve its private dining rooms early for family celebrations, company dinners and year-end gatherings. With three distinctive private dining rooms, expertly prepared dry-aged steaks, an extensive wine selection and attentive service, the restaurant offers a welcoming setting for an occasion worth celebrating. Thoughtful attention to detail allows hosts to spend more time with their guests, while complimentary valet parking makes arrival convenient.

Saunders and the restaurant team welcome the opportunity to help guests plan a holiday gathering with memorable food, wine and warm hospitality. For private dining inquiries, Saunders can be reached at Amarie.Saunders@unionmak.com or by calling 808-762-0020. More information and reservations are available at thecapitalgrillehawaii.com.

The leadership change matters for Hawaii's dining scene because wine and beverage programming is a key differentiator for upscale steakhouses, and Saunders' sommelier background and family winemaking heritage signal a continued focus on curated wine experiences. For business travelers and local companies planning year-end events, the combination of private dining capacity, dry-aged steaks and a knowledgeable beverage manager could make The Capital Grille Hawaiʻi a more attractive option for holiday gatherings. The restaurant is located at Lilia Waikīkī, 2380 Kūhiō Avenue in Honolulu, and offers a refined steakhouse experience with dry-aged steaks, fine wines and gracious hospitality. From intimate dinners to private celebrations, the restaurant brings thoughtful service and attention to detail to every occasion, with complimentary valet parking available for guests.
