The Mommy Archives, an NYC parent community founded by Jules Ferdowsi, is organizing a Family Dance Party aimed at bringing families together while supporting local organizations that serve parents and children. The event will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 3 to 6 PM at Moxy Williamsburg's Bar Bedford Garden, with more than 200 NYC parents and children expected to attend.
Net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Single Moms of Brooklyn, a local initiative that empowers single mothers through emotional support, community, and resources. In addition, family brand Nuna will donate $5,000 worth of products to Room to Grow, a nonprofit that supports families experiencing poverty during the critical first three years of a child's life. Moxy Williamsburg is serving as the venue partner for the event.
The event reflects The Mommy Archives' broader mission of building community for NYC parents while creating opportunities to give back. "I wanted this event to be more than just a fun afternoon for families," said Ferdowsi. "Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Mommy Archives, and I know firsthand how important it is for parents to have a community they can turn to. It was important to me that bringing families together could also directly support other parents and children. Single Moms of Brooklyn is especially meaningful to me personally as a member of the organization, and I'm excited to be able to give back to a community that has meant so much to me."
The Family Dance Party will feature a DJ, photo booth, face painting, crafts, glitter tattoos, games, and other family-friendly activities. The afternoon is designed to be a joyful gathering that transforms into tangible support for organizations serving parents and children. For those interested in attending, tickets are available at https://luma.com/l3d94eee.
This event matters because it addresses the isolation many parents feel and provides direct financial support to groups that assist single mothers and families in poverty. By leveraging its network of over 4,400 NYC families, The Mommy Archives is demonstrating how community events can double as fundraising vehicles for local nonprofits. The partnership with Nuna and Moxy Williamsburg also highlights how brands and venues can collaborate to amplify social impact.
