The ProMedia Group (PMG), a Tampa-based audiovisual and technology integration solutions provider, announced the addition of Troy Fernandez as Project Manager. Fernandez brings over two decades of global program and project leadership experience, having managed large-scale design and construction initiatives across multiple continents. His hiring underscores PMG's commitment to expanding its national footprint and enhancing its capabilities in sports, stadiums, and broadcast environments.
Fernandez's career includes significant roles at Watchtower in Tuxedo Park, New York, where he served as Program Manager overseeing a global portfolio of active projects across 30 international offices. As Global Design Director, he led the development of design standards across 84 international branches and mentored high-performing teams. Earlier, he managed multi-site projects throughout the Americas, maintaining control over scope, schedule, and budget from concept through commissioning. His experience also includes 15 years with AECOM in New York, contributing to major infrastructure and transportation projects, including work with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Transportation Security Administration, and the World Trade Center PATH Terminal.
Fernandez was drawn to PMG by the opportunity to work in new types of facilities and technologies, particularly in the sports and stadium space. “PMG is involved in a number of exciting projects, especially in the sports and stadium space,” he said. “I’ve spent my career managing residential and commercial work, but this is a chance to be part of something different — to get more hands-on and be on the other side of the process, especially in AV and broadcast environments.” His approach to project delivery emphasizes collaboration, planning, and transparency. “Surround yourself with qualified people, work as a team, and keep everyone aligned toward the end goal,” he explained.
Ken Avis, CEO of The ProMedia Group, highlighted the strategic value of the hire. “Adding someone with this level of global experience and leadership strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients. His expertise in managing complex, multi-site projects aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence and continued growth,” Avis said. Fernandez will oversee AV integration projects from design through installation, supporting PMG’s expansion and dedication to reliable, high-performance solutions.
This announcement reflects PMG's ongoing investment in top-tier talent as the company broadens its services and geographic reach. The addition of a project manager with such extensive global experience positions PMG to better serve clients in the sports and stadium sector, where complex audiovisual and broadcast systems are critical. For the industry, this signals a trend of integration firms seeking leaders with large-scale project management skills to handle increasingly sophisticated technology demands. Readers in the commercial AV space may see this as indicative of the growing importance of cross-sector expertise, particularly in high-stakes environments like stadiums and transportation hubs.
