The Sounds We Share Project Launches Wordless Music Channel for Children, Breaking Language Barriers

The Sounds We Share, a new children's music channel, has launched at thesoundsweshare.com and on YouTube, offering songs composed entirely of speech sounds like hums, pops, rolls, and whooshes instead of words. The channel aims to erase language barriers, allowing every child to hear the same song the same way without dubbing or translation.

The project is rooted in research showing that babies are born able to hear and distinguish the full range of human speech sounds. During the first year, their brains begin specializing in the sounds they hear most often, a process called perceptual narrowing. The Sounds We Share builds its songs inside that early window, pairing playful speech sounds with one simple movement per song that families can do together: bounce, march, twirl, sway, or rock.

Creator Bryan Eisenberg, a former educator and social worker turned digital marketing pioneer and New York Times bestselling author, first encountered the science of phonemes at Wizard Academy in Austin, Texas. The idea never let go. "Before children learn words, they learn sounds," said Eisenberg. "Words sometimes divide us. The sounds underneath them belong to everyone. After decades of waiting for the right technology, I created this channel with the dream of singing these songs with my grandchildren."

The channel features three characters: Mavi, the blue Sound Explorer who discovers every new sound first; Kado, the orange Rhythm Explorer who turns discoveries into movement; and Lila, the lavender Melody Explorer who transforms sounds into melody and calm. Season One launches in two collections. Sound Adventures delivers daytime energy and family movement, while Dream Sounds offers gentle lullabies with rain, ocean waves, and the softest sounds human voices make, built for rocking and sleep.

The music and animation are produced with AI tools, including Suno and Gemini, then shaped and quality-gated by humans. The channel discloses this openly on its website. Every song must pass one test: would a child ask to hear it again, and would a parent survive the tenth replay? "Families deserve two things kids’ media rarely gives them: honesty about how the content is made and honesty about what it can do," said Eisenberg. "We put both on the front page."

The channel is deliberate about what it does not claim. Its songs will not make a child bilingual or smarter. What it promises instead: playful early sound exposure, listening, imitation, movement, and music children beg to replay. A free Family Movement Guide, a printable showing the movement for every song, is available at thesoundsweshare.com.

The implications of this launch are significant for early childhood development and global equity. By removing language barriers, The Sounds We Share offers a resource that can be used by families worldwide, leveling the playing field for children regardless of linguistic background. For parents seeking screen time that supports early auditory development without the pitfalls of passive viewing, this channel provides an interactive, movement-based alternative. For researchers, it offers a real-world application of perceptual narrowing research, potentially opening new avenues for study.

Bryan Eisenberg, who began his career as an educator and social worker, brings over 30 years of experience in communication and relationship building. The channel is an independent family project based in Round Rock, Texas. Watch the videos at youtube.com/@MaviAndFriends and learn more at thesoundsweshare.com.
