Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) announced the completion of its Phase One diamond drill program at the Coho Property in central British Columbia, a copper-gold porphyry target located 90 kilometers north of Fort St. James and 30 kilometers west of the Mt. Milligan deposit. The program consisted of seven holes totaling 2,667 meters, testing an area of 1,000 by 800 meters and a vertical extent of 474 meters. The Coho Zone had never been drilled prior to this 2026 campaign, making the program a critical first test of a target identified through recent geochemical and geophysical surveys.
The drilling targeted multiple features within the Coho Zone, including a sizable 400-by-800-meter induced polarization (IP) chargeability and resistivity high feature, the Chinook showing with historic channel samples grading up to 0.64 g/t gold and 0.36% copper over 3.0 meters, and the King showing where historic sampling returned 0.68 g/t gold and 2.83% copper over 1.0 meter. A total of 1,415 drill core samples, including standard reference materials and blanks, were submitted to Bureau Veritas' lab in Vancouver for assay. Results are expected in late 2026 or early 2027. For detailed collar information, the company provided a table of drill collar details, and a 2026 drill plan map illustrates the hole locations.
Concurrent with drilling, Trailbreaker completed a four-line, 14-line-kilometer IP survey at the Coho Zone. Preliminary results helped target a chargeability anomaly and interpreted structure with hole CH-26-07, drilled 500 meters north of the King showing. The company also conducted surface exploration at the Masu Zone along the western boundary of the property, targeting the potential eastward extension of the "A Zone" on the adjoining Trident Property, where Pacific Empire Minerals reported 240.0 m of 0.64% Cu, 0.41 g/t Au, and 2.8 g/t silver (Ag). Results from the Masu program are being compiled. Additional details are available in the company's link to presentation.
At the Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia, Trailbreaker completed a six-hole, 1,684-meter drill program in early August 2026, as detailed in its August 10, 2026 news release. The program tested the Highlands Zone, a high-grade vein-hosted gold target, and the Swan Zone, a copper-gold-silver-molybdenum porphyry target, spaced 26 kilometers apart. Assays remain pending. The company also contracted Eagle Mapping for an airborne property-wide LiDAR survey and Aurora Geosciences Ltd. to complete an independent NI 43-101 technical report to replace the previous report filed in December 2022.
President and CEO Daithi Mac Gearailt stated that with assay results expected soon from both the Highlands and Swan targets, Trailbreaker is well positioned to provide a steady flow of news through the remainder of 2026 and early 2027. The Coho program represents the first drill test of a porphyry target in a road-accessible area with nearby infrastructure, and the pending results could validate the company's exploration model. For readers, the announcements signal a period of potentially high news flow and catalyst-driven activity for the junior explorer.
