Trilogy Metals Named to 2026 TSX30 After 570% Share Price Surge

Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSE American: TMQ) (TSX: TMQ) has been named to the 2026 TSX30, an annual ranking of the top-performing companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange over a three-year period based on dividend-adjusted share price appreciation. The company’s share price increased 570% during the three years ended June 30, 2026, according to the announcement. This recognition places Trilogy among the exchange’s most successful stocks and underscores growing investor confidence in its flagship Arctic Project in northwestern Alaska.

President and CEO Tony Giardini said the recognition reflects investor confidence in Trilogy and the strategic importance of the Arctic Project to the American critical mineral supply chain. The project is located within the Ambler Mining District, which is described as one of the richest and most-prospective known copper-dominant districts in the world. The district hosts polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits containing copper, zinc, lead, gold, and silver, as well as carbonate replacement deposits with high-grade copper and cobalt mineralization.

Trilogy Metals holds a 50 percent interest in Ambler Metals LLC, which in turn has a 100 percent interest in the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects (UKMP). On December 19, 2019, South32, a globally diversified mining and metals company, exercised its option to form a 50/50 joint venture with Trilogy Metals. Exploration efforts have concentrated on two deposits: the Arctic VMS deposit and the Bornite carbonate replacement deposit, both situated within a land package spanning approximately 190,929 hectares. Ambler Metals also has an agreement with NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., an Alaska Native Corporation, that provides a framework for exploration and potential development in cooperation with local communities.

The TSX30 ranking is based on dividend-adjusted share price appreciation over a three-year period, making it a key indicator of long-term market performance. Trilogy’s 570% increase far outpaces the broader market, signaling strong investor appetite for companies involved in critical minerals. Copper and cobalt are essential components in electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and advanced electronics, and the United States has prioritized securing domestic supplies of these materials. The Arctic Project’s potential to become a significant North American copper producer could reduce reliance on foreign sources and bolster national supply chain resilience.

For investors, the TSX30 inclusion may enhance Trilogy’s visibility and credibility, potentially attracting additional institutional interest. The recognition also highlights the strategic value of the Ambler Mining District, which remains one of the few undeveloped high-grade copper regions in North America. However, development in the region faces environmental and logistical challenges, and the company’s vision includes protecting and respecting subsistence livelihoods—a commitment that will be closely watched by stakeholders.
