Cyndie Shaffstall, co-founder and COO of Trust Moments, is developing her 21st book, which will chronicle the growing role of artificial intelligence in the real estate industry. The new ebook, provisionally titled 100 Leadership Perspectives on AI in Real Estate, will feature interviews with dozens of industry leaders to create a snapshot of AI development as it transforms real estate. Trust Moments has already contacted more than 200 industry leaders and will continue leadership interviews at NAR NXT, taking place November 6–8 in New Orleans.
The project follows Shaffstall's October ebook, Case study: How we built an AI-powered relationship and referral engine (and the things I wish I knew then), which examined the experiments and missteps of a small team without a traditional engineering background as they used AI to develop a real estate relationship and referral engine. That ebook chronicled her own experience building an AI-driven client experience platform.
"We are so energized by the way professionals in the real estate field are innovating the use of AI around their own workflows, creating solutions that empower humans," Shaffstall said. "We are reaching out to leaders all over the industry to create a comprehensive picture of where AI is now, where people want it to develop, and how it can make our work better than ever."
Shaffstall emphasized that AI is intended to augment human capabilities rather than replace them. "AI isn't here to replace human cognition – it's meant to empower people, and we're excited to hear how industry leaders are putting it to work," she said.
Shaffstall and the founding team will be onsite at NAR NXT to conduct interviews and capture more industry perspectives. She extended an invitation to leaders attending the conference: "To industry leaders attending NAR NXT, please stop by and share your successes and experiences with AI – together we make a stronger, more tech-forward industry."
The interviews will contribute to the upcoming ebook, which is set for publication after the conference. The project matters because it aims to document real-world AI adoption across real estate, offering a comprehensive view of current applications, future aspirations, and practical lessons from those at the forefront. By gathering insights from a broad range of leaders, the ebook could serve as a valuable resource for professionals seeking to understand how AI can enhance workflows and client relationships.
