tZERO to Power Temple Digital Group's Tokenized Securities Trading on Canton Network

tZERO Group, Inc., the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company powering tokenized financial markets, announced that Temple Digital Group has engaged tZERO Securities, LLC to serve as the registered broker-dealer and alternative trading system (ATS) operator for Temple's proprietary tokenized securities trading platform on the Canton Network. The agreement, detailed in a press release distributed via NEWMEDIAWIRE, pairs Temple's onchain trading technology with tZERO's regulated operating infrastructure, including client onboarding and transaction services. This allows Temple to offer tokenized securities trading to its clients without building its own broker-dealer and ATS capabilities.

The collaboration underscores a growing trend in financial markets: as institutions seek to tokenize real-world assets, they require regulated infrastructure that can integrate with their proprietary technology. tZERO, through its broker-dealer subsidiary, provides that foundation. "Institutions building tokenized markets need a regulated operating foundation that can work with their technology and business model," said Alan Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO. "Temple has developed one of the most powerful trading systems on Canton. By bringing our broker-dealer and ATS capabilities to that system, we can help Temple deliver its offering to clients while expanding the reach of tZERO's Infrastructure-as-a-Service footprint as we focus on powering broker-dealers and other financial institutions at scale."

Temple's trading system includes a proprietary matching engine, an RFQ module, and a central limit order book for tokenized National Market System (NMS) securities and exchange-traded products. It also features a front-end user interface and settlement infrastructure designed to support atomic delivery-versus-payment and repurchase agreement settlement on Canton. According to the release, Temple has executed over $1.6 billion in volume for Canton and is the largest platform by transaction volume on the network. "We're focused on developing regulated, onchain trading technologies for tokenized assets," said Evan Varsamis, Chief Executive Officer of Temple Digital Group. "Working with tZERO allows us to combine our solutions with an established broker-dealer and ATS operator, providing the regulated infrastructure needed to support securities on our platform at scale."

tZERO Securities is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and a member of FINRA and SIPC, and will operate the dedicated platform. Implementation is pending, and launch timing and product availability will be announced separately.

The agreement matters for the broader financial industry because it demonstrates how specialized infrastructure providers like tZERO Group, Inc. can enable platforms to scale without the significant regulatory and operational overhead of becoming a broker-dealer. For Temple, it means faster time-to-market with a compliant offering; for tZERO, it expands its IaaS business and reinforces its strategy of powering tokenized markets. As tokenization gains traction, such partnerships could become a model for how traditional finance and blockchain-based systems converge, potentially increasing liquidity and access for institutional investors. However, investors should note the risks outlined in the release, including the speculative nature of digital asset securities and the possibility of loss.
