Viromed Medical Expands Global Reach with Distribution Deals for Cold Plasma Device

Viromed Medical AG, a medical technology company specializing in cold plasma technology, announced on August 10, 2026, the signing of distribution partnerships for its ViroCAP® product in six additional markets: Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Balkan region, Romania, and Saudi Arabia. These agreements, each concluded with a separate company for an individual market, significantly expand the company's international footprint. Under the contracts, minimum purchase quantities have been agreed, and Viromed anticipates additional sales of at least 3,000 devices per year.

ViroCAP® is a mobile medical device designed for the treatment of skin conditions using cold atmospheric plasma. It is intended for use by hospitals, physicians in private practice, and surgically active medical specialists. The device represents a novel approach in dermatological care, offering a non-invasive treatment option that harnesses the power of plasma to promote healing and address various skin ailments.

Uwe Perbandt, Chief Executive Officer of Viromed Medical AG, commented on the expansion: “With these new distribution partners, we are opening up several attractive markets in Southern and South-Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East. The strong interest shown by our distribution partners underlines the high demand for our cold plasma technology. The new distribution partnerships are another important step in the implementation of our dynamic growth phase.” Perbandt also revealed that partnerships for additional countries are in preparation and expected to be signed within the next four to six weeks.

These new agreements build on Viromed's existing international distribution network. The company already has numerous distribution and marketing partnerships in place, including an exclusive distribution agreement with the Korean company UMECO covering ten Asian countries, and a partnership with TriPart TITAN GmbH & Co. KG for the Turkish market. This latest expansion underscores Viromed's commitment to globalizing its cold plasma technology and making it accessible to a wider patient population.

The announcement has significant implications for the medical device industry and healthcare providers. Cold plasma technology is gaining recognition for its potential in wound healing, disinfection, and dermatological treatments. By securing distribution in these new markets, Viromed is positioning itself to capture growth in regions with increasing healthcare demands. For physicians and hospitals in the newly covered areas, access to ViroCAP® could enhance treatment options and outcomes for patients with skin conditions.

The company's growth strategy focuses on leveraging its innovative technology through strategic partnerships. Since its listing on the stock exchange in October 2022, Viromed has been actively expanding its operations via its wholly owned subsidiary, Viromed Medical GmbH. The company's broad customer base in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and beyond provides a solid foundation for further international expansion.

Viromed Medical AG specializes in the development, manufacture, and distribution of medical products. Its core focus is on the distribution of cold plasma technology for medical applications, aiming to advance its use in medicine and realize the corresponding growth potential. With these new distribution agreements, Viromed is taking another concrete step toward achieving that goal, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in the field.
