Blake Morgan, CEO of Western Star, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Scott to the Board. His background at leading firms such as Goldman Sachs will be instrumental in helping Western Star take that next step forward.” Morgan also noted that the company will provide updates on assay results from its Rowland, White Star, and Eagle Point properties “very soon.”
In a separate announcement, Western Star disclosed it has entered into an Investor Awareness Agreement with Market Equities Limited (MEL), dated September 11, 2026. Under the agreement, MEL will provide branding services, communications, advisory, and general consulting services, including SEO, digital media campaigns, media consulting, general business development, multimedia services, and project management. MEL will also write and distribute weekly ticker tag articles highlighting the company in sector-based analysis, as well as news-based tags when the company has a new event. The fee for these services is $100,000 USD for a two-month term, upon acceptance by the Canadian Securities Exchange. The agreement may be renewed by both parties at the end of the initial term.
Western Star emphasized that MEL and the company are not related parties and operate at arm’s length. Neither MEL nor its principals have any interest in the company's securities, directly or indirectly, or any right or intent to acquire such an interest.
Western Star Resources is an emerging junior mineral exploration company focused on revitalizing North America's tungsten supply. The company is advancing its entry into the U.S. market through past-producing tungsten assets in historically important mining districts and is positioning itself to participate in the growing need for secure domestic critical mineral supply. The appointment of a financial services veteran like Scott could strengthen Western Star's strategic and financial capabilities as it seeks to capitalize on the increasing demand for critical minerals, particularly tungsten, which is essential for various industrial and defense applications. The investor awareness agreement with MEL aims to enhance the company's visibility and communication with investors, potentially attracting new interest in its exploration projects. These developments come as Western Star prepares to release assay results from three key properties, which could further define its resource potential and impact its market valuation.
