Activate Games, the world's first active-gaming entertainment company, is set to launch its newest location in Pickering, Ontario, bringing an innovative interactive gaming experience to the Durham Region. The 10,000-square-foot facility will feature 11 interactive game rooms designed to challenge participants physically and mentally.
The new Activate location at 1899 Brock Road offers 75-minute gaming sessions with hundreds of games that utilize real-time reactive technology. Players can engage in various challenges, from adrenaline-pumping games like Laser to the popular Mega Grid, catering to different skill levels and preferences.
To celebrate its grand opening, Activate is offering a 50% discount on admission from February 11 to 14, 2025, providing an accessible entry point for local residents to experience the unique entertainment concept. The company, founded in Winnipeg, has rapidly expanded to more than 40 locations across North America, with additional international sites in Dubai and the United Kingdom.
Co-Founder and CEO Adam Schmidt emphasized the location's community-focused design, highlighting the opportunity for guests to collaborate or compete in an engaging, technology-driven environment. The Pickering facility represents a significant milestone in Activate's global expansion strategy, which includes upcoming locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Scandinavia.
