The World Police Summit Awards has expanded its recognition of law enforcement excellence by introducing two new award categories for 2025, bringing the total to 12 categories that celebrate innovation and achievement in policing.
The newly added categories include Best Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Policing and Startups Innovation Award, signaling a strategic focus on technological advancements in law enforcement. This expansion reflects the growing importance of technology in addressing complex security challenges.
The awards have seen a significant 55% increase in nominations compared to the previous year, indicating heightened global interest in acknowledging innovative approaches to law enforcement. Professionals from around the world are eligible to apply before March 31, 2025, with a rigorous selection process that narrows each category to three finalists.
Captain Marwan Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the World Police Summit Awards, emphasized the importance of recognizing technological progress in policing. The new categories aim to highlight how artificial intelligence and innovative startup solutions can assist law enforcement in their critical work of building safer communities.
The awards will be presented during the World Police Summit at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 13 to 15, 2025, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The event brings together international law enforcement professionals, experts, and government representatives to discuss global security challenges.
Previous award editions have recognized law enforcement agencies and individuals from diverse countries including Brazil, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Qatar, Pakistan, and the UAE, demonstrating the global reach and significance of these awards.
