Aemetis, a renewable natural gas and renewable fuels company, reported substantial revenue growth and strategic advancements in 2024, with annual revenues increasing 43% to $268 million. The company achieved significant milestones across its India biodiesel, California ethanol, and biogas segments, highlighting its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Key achievements included a 20% increase in India biodiesel annual revenues to $93 million and a 33% expansion of production capacity from 60 to 80 million gallons per year. California ethanol annual revenues rose 55% to $162 million, while the Aemetis Biogas segment experienced a remarkable 139% increase in annual revenues.

The company made strategic investments in low-carbon initiatives, including the installation of a $12 million solar microgrid at its California ethanol plant and completion of four new dairy digesters. These projects are expected to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon intensity, aligning with broader sustainability goals.

Notably, Aemetis received a $10.5 million allocation in IRA Section 48C Tax Credits for installing a Mechanical Vapor Recompression system at its ethanol plant. The company also received additional grants from the California Energy Commission and PG&E, supporting its renewable energy development efforts.

Despite the revenue growth, Aemetis reported a net loss of $87.5 million for 2024, compared to a $46.4 million loss in 2023. The company remains focused on expanding its renewable energy portfolio, including developing a sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel production facility.
