Mullen Automotive has completed its first electric vehicle sale to Global Expert Shipping, a California-based international freight forwarding company. The transaction, facilitated through Pritchard Automotive, represents a strategic milestone for the electric vehicle manufacturer's commercial fleet expansion.
The sale of the Mullen ONE Class 1 cargo van marks an important step in the company's commercial EV strategy. Global Expert Shipping's decision to integrate an electric vehicle into its fleet signals growing corporate interest in reducing emissions and operational costs through electrification.
Mullen's commercial EV lineup, which includes the Mullen ONE cargo van and Class 3 Mullen THREE truck, is fully compliant with U.S. safety and emissions standards. Both vehicles are California Air Resource Board and EPA certified, making them viable options for businesses seeking to modernize their transportation infrastructure.
The company has recently received significant certifications that enhance its market potential. In September 2023, Mullen obtained IRS approval for federal EV tax credits, offering eligible customers up to $7,500 per vehicle. Additionally, the Mullen THREE truck has received a CARB-issued HVIP approval, providing up to a $45,000 cash voucher at purchase.
With commercial production initiated in August 2023 at its Tunica, Mississippi facility and an expanded dealer network now covering key U.S. markets, Mullen is positioning itself as a competitive player in the emerging commercial electric vehicle sector.
