Studybay has announced its annual essay contest for 2025, providing students with an opportunity to share their perspectives on pressing contemporary issues while competing for a $3,000 prize fund. The competition invites graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students to submit original essays addressing thought-provoking topics.
This year's contest features three distinctive prompts designed to encourage candid student expression: exploring the potential impact of artificial intelligence on career trajectories, examining the psychological effects of success pressure, and sharing personal experiences navigating student financial challenges. The essays must be between 500 and 700 words, formatted according to MLA guidelines, and demonstrate the student's authentic voice.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three submissions, with the first-place winner receiving $1,500, the second-place winner earning $1,000, and the third-place winner obtaining $500. The competition emphasizes originality, explicitly prohibiting AI-generated content and plagiarism.
As part of its global expansion efforts, Studybay has also launched a Portuguese-language version of the contest for Brazilian students, reflecting the platform's commitment to providing diverse educational opportunities. The contest underscores Studybay's mission to create a space where students can articulate their experiences, challenges, and aspirations.
Submissions will be accepted until June 15, 2025, offering students ample time to craft compelling narratives that capture their unique perspectives on complex contemporary issues.
