Shincheonji Church of Jesus has distinguished itself through an unprecedented approach to biblical education, demonstrating exceptional scriptural comprehension among its members. Through weekly examinations focused on the Book of Revelation and four gospels, the church reports remarkable academic achievements in religious studies.
From January to April 2025, church members exhibited extraordinary commitment to biblical learning, with a 97% exam participation rate and an average score of 99. Remarkably, 99.9% of exam participants scored above 90, suggesting a systematic and thorough approach to religious education.
Former pastors who have joined the church provide notable testimonials challenging widespread perceptions. Pastor Kim stated that Shincheonji's educational approach surpasses traditional religious instruction, enabling members to master biblical texts comprehensively from Genesis to Revelation.
Pastor Gwang-seon Choi further emphasized the church's educational rigor, suggesting that religious institutions should prioritize substantive biblical teaching over criticism. He argued that proper scriptural education is crucial for theological understanding and spiritual growth.
The church's Zion Christian Mission Center has reportedly graduated over 100,000 students through four graduation ceremonies, underscoring its significant educational impact. Despite ongoing controversies labeling the organization as a cult, proponents argue for evaluation based on biblical standards rather than external criticism.
