Shincheonji Church of Jesus Taekwondo Team Achieves Global Recognition

The taekwondo team of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has marked its presence on the global stage with remarkable achievements in the 2025 Park Chung-hee Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in South Korea. With 25 athletes participating, the team secured four gold, seven silver, and 14 bronze medals, showcasing their dedication and skill in a highly competitive environment.

Hosted by the Park Chung-hee Cup Organizing Committee and co-hosted by the Gyeongbuk Taekwondo Association and the Sangju City Taekwondo Association, the event saw around 4,200 athletes from 18 countries. The Shincheonji team's success is a testament to their focused training and perseverance, as highlighted by gold medalist Lee Jun-wi and Coach Kim Deok-hoon, who emphasized the team's preparation and future goals for even greater achievements.

Further solidifying their status, the Shincheonji taekwondo national team also excelled at the 2025 Kim Un-yong Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in Busan, with every team member winning medals.
