BTQ Technologies Corp., a quantum technology company focused on accelerating the transition from classical networks to the quantum internet, announced that its MIMIQ™ large-scale quantum emulator is now available through qBraid’s managed application programming interface (API). The integration provides qBraid’s community of more than 35,000 developers with access to MIMIQ™, which combines optimized state-vector emulation with Matrix Product State (MPS) techniques to simulate quantum circuits involving up to thousands of qubits and millions of gates.
The technology enables developers to validate algorithms, study noise effects, test error correction protocols and explore circuits beyond the capabilities of conventional state-vector simulators. Developers can access MIMIQ™ through qBraid Runtime without setting up additional infrastructure. The integration uses an open-source provider plugin built on QPerfect’s mimiqcircuits-python library.
BTQ CEO Olivier Roussy Newton said the collaboration expands access to large-scale quantum emulation and supports the development of software infrastructure needed to move quantum computing toward practical applications. The companies will showcase the technology at Quantum Developer Day on Dec. 7, 2026, and Q2B26 x Chicago Quantum Summit on Dec. 8-10, 2026, in Chicago.
This news matters because it democratizes access to advanced quantum emulation tools, which are critical for developing and testing quantum algorithms before real quantum hardware is widely available. By integrating MIMIQ™ into qBraid’s platform, BTQ Technologies significantly broadens the reach of its technology, potentially accelerating innovation in fields such as finance, telecommunications, logistics, life sciences, and defense—sectors where BTQ aims to apply its full-stack, neutral-atom quantum computing platform.
The move also strengthens BTQ’s position in the quantum software ecosystem, as developers gain a user-friendly pathway to experiment with large-scale quantum circuits. For the industry, this could lower barriers to entry for quantum programming and foster a larger pool of skilled developers. As quantum computing progresses toward practical applications, tools like MIMIQ™ that simulate complex circuits will be essential for validating algorithms and error correction protocols.
BTQ Technologies, backed by a broad patent portfolio and deep technical expertise, is developing a full-stack, neutral-atom quantum computing platform spanning hardware, middleware, and post-quantum security solutions. The company’s stock is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker BTQ and on Cboe Canada. For more details on BTQ’s initiatives, visit its newsroom. The full press release is available at this link.
