The NBR Intelligence agreement is structured around a phased approach, beginning with operational, safety, network, facility, and workflow assessments within 30 days. Five pilot systems are targeted to run within 120 days, followed by a 30-day performance evaluation measuring availability, task completion, throughput, accuracy, and safety. This deployment-centered framework aligns with industry demands for proven performance over technology promises.
Workforce shortages are driving adoption faster than marketing. IFR data shows U.S. industrial robot installations climbed 11% in 2025 to approximately 38,000 units, with the food industry recording a 30% uptick. Robot density in U.S. manufacturing reached 307 units per 10,000 employees, placing the country eighth globally. Hospitality robots are the second-largest category of professional service robots sold globally, behind transportation and logistics.
NBR Intelligence CEO Rick Nguyen noted that turnover across the company's factory network is about 15% to 20% a year, and a generational shift in education levels is compressing the available pool of traditional factory labor. Only after successful completion and written acceptance will the program advance to an initial scaled rollout of 100 systems, followed by approximately 500 additional systems per month toward the full target.
Subscription models are opening new customer segments. Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) converts large capital purchases into recurring operating expenses. The IFR's World Robotics 2025 report shows RaaS-based fleets grew 31% in 2024, and rental/subscription revenue for service robots grew 42%. IFR President Takayuki Ito stated that more companies are choosing subscription or rental agreements to avoid heavy initial investment. These developments point to AI moving deeper into the physical world, connecting digital capabilities with operations. The companies best equipped to capture value are those that move from successful pilots to scalable programs. With persistent labor shortages and the growth of subscription models, TechForce's combination of public-market access, deployment-first model, and recurring revenue potential may represent a differentiated profile in the robotics sector.
