Helvetia Asset Management Ltd Launches Unified Brand After Baloise Renaming

The Helvetia Baloise Group has renamed its asset management subsidiary Baloise Asset Management Ltd to Helvetia Asset Management Ltd (HAM), establishing a unified market presence under the Helvetia Group brand. The change follows the merger of the group's two asset management companies at the start of July 2026 and marks another milestone in the integration process, according to a press release issued via NEWMEDIAWIRE.

With more than CHF 100 billion in assets under management, the Helvetia Baloise Group's Asset Management division ranks among Switzerland's largest insurance asset managers. It also places among the country's top five real estate investment managers, managing or advising approximately CHF 20 billion in real estate assets for internal and external clients. The division covers the entire real estate value chain, from development and construction to property management and the management of entire real estate portfolios, complemented by mortgage investment solutions.

According to André Keller, Group Chief Investment Officer, the unified market presence brings together the extensive experience and complementary strengths of both organisations. "This enables us to offer our clients a broader range of investment solutions and support them in achieving their long-term investment objectives," Keller said in the release.

Building on more than 160 years of experience in managing insurance assets, HAM offers pension funds, insurance companies and other institutional investors access to a broad range of investment capabilities. These include multi-asset strategies, real estate, mortgages and private markets in particular. Private clients also benefit from the group-wide collaboration between insurance, banking and asset management in the area of pensions and assets, supporting individual retirement planning.

As part of the move toward a unified market presence, numerous investment funds have also been renamed. More information is available via the following link: https://www.helvetia-asset-management.com/.

The rebranding could have significant implications for institutional investors and pension funds in Switzerland, as it consolidates the asset management operations of two major insurance groups into a single entity. The combined scale of over CHF 100 billion in assets under management positions HAM as a dominant player in the Swiss market, potentially offering clients greater resources and a more integrated suite of services. For the Helvetia Baloise Group, the unified brand simplifies its market positioning and may enhance its ability to compete for third-party mandates. The renaming of investment funds may require existing investors to update their records and could affect fund documentation, though the release indicates the underlying strategies remain intact. As the integration continues, clients and industry observers will be watching to see how the combined entity leverages its expanded capabilities.
