The third edition of Hong Kong Fashion Fest, presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and spearheaded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), is set to take place from September 1 to 14. The two-week event will bring together more than 300 local and international design entities, collaborating with six industry organisations to present eight flagship programmes across various cultural landmarks and stylish design spaces in Hong Kong.
The festival aims to showcase Hong Kong's exceptional appeal as Asia's fashion capital through a diverse range of fashion-themed events. This year's lineup covers haute couture, city-wide pop-up stores, cross-regional menswear, sustainable design forums, and modern denim culture, among other highlights. The eight flagship programmes include the opening event "VIRTUOSE: The Artistry of Couture 2026," the citywide fashion pop-up "Wear's HK," the international fashion showcase and trade platform CENTRESTAGE, "Future Threads: Menswear's New Waves Between Italy and Hong Kong," "Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2026," "Hong Kong Fashion Fest Gala 2026," "Fashion Asia Hong Kong 2026," and the "5th Hong Kong Denim Festival."
Admission to all public exhibitions at the festival will be free, inviting fashion enthusiasts and the public to experience the city's vibrant creativity and energy. The event is expected to provide a significant platform for emerging designers from Hong Kong and abroad to gain global exposure, potentially boosting the local fashion industry and reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a creative hub.
According to the organisers, the festival will not only celebrate fashion but also foster cross-sectoral collaboration and innovation, aligning with CCIDA's mission to nurture talent, facilitate start-ups, and promote the industrialisation of the arts, culture, and creative sectors. The strategic focus on multi-disciplinary collaboration is evident in the diverse programme, which includes sustainable design discussions and menswear exchanges between Italy and Hong Kong, highlighting international partnerships.
