Interlock Roofing Expands Into Aluminum Wall Cladding, Debuts in Whistler Custom Homes

Interlock Roofing Ltd., a manufacturer of lifetime aluminum roofing systems, has expanded its product line to include Metal Siding and wall cladding panels. The new offering brings the company's durable aluminum system from the roofline down to a building's exterior walls, allowing for a cohesive exterior finish. The panels are produced from the same heavy-gauge aluminum, finished with the Alunar Coating System, and available in the same profiles, colors, and trims as Interlock's roofing products. This enables a home's roof and walls to share a single color-matched aluminum finish, eliminating compatibility concerns that can arise when roof and wall products originate from different manufacturers.

According to the company, the expansion simplifies both installation and warranty coverage across every exposed surface. Scott Plumptree, Director of Marketing at Interlock Roofing Ltd., stated, "Homeowners already trust our aluminum roofing to protect their home for a lifetime. Extending that same panel, coating, and color system to siding means the entire exterior performs to one standard and reads as one intentional design."

Interlock Metal Siding is offered in four architectural profiles: Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, and Standing Seam. These profiles can be combined within a single color family. The panels are formed from heavy-gauge aluminum and finished with the Alunar Coating System, a multi-layer architectural coating that incorporates Cool Roof infrared-reflective pigments designed to reduce solar heat gain on walls. Additionally, the non-combustible aluminum construction carries a Class A fire rating, which is a notable characteristic for properties in wildfire and ember-zone regions.

The material's properties offer several advantages. Because aluminum does not absorb moisture, the panels will not rot, warp, or crack through repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The factory-baked finish resists chalking and fading, eliminating the need for repainting over the product's service life. The Aluminum Wall Cladding system also resists insects and coastal salt-air corrosion. Four-way interlocking panels install over most existing wall substrates, fitted by certified installers, and require no painting, sealing, or staining throughout their lifespan. The aluminum is largely recycled in content and approximately 95 percent recyclable at end of life.

Interlock Metal Siding and aluminum wall cladding are available across the United States and Canada through certified local installers, for both new construction and re-cladding projects. Recent installations include custom homes in Whistler, British Columbia. For more information, visit interlockroofing.com.
